Beneath Ali’s calm, cool demeanor lies a communications powerhouse. Having worked alongside some of the brightest minds in Silicon Valley PR, Ali combines strategic vision and a sharp eye for trends with an unwavering commitment to client results. Since co-founding JDM in 2007, Ali has built the agency into a valuable partner for clients like eBay, LinkedIn and Skype, along with a number of emerging and established consumer and B2B technology brands. She has piloted startup launches, created and guided conversations around clients ranging from large enterprises to small firms, and helped major brands derive value from social media.
Co-Founder and VP of Operations
John wears many hats at Just Drive Media – from acting as strategic advisor to the company’s overall direction to leading web development, graphic design and internet marketing campaigns for Just Drive Media and its clients, his day-to-day changes almost daily. John is continually focused on improving processes. His attention to detail and dedication to accuracy played a major role in shaping our social listening and analytics offerings, which we believe are among the best in the business. An entrepreneur from the start, John launched his own consultancy in 2001, where he worked with such technology giants as eBay, Yahoo! and Xerox on product demos, graphic design and web development projects. In 2007, he partnered with Ali to form Just Drive Media.
Director of Public Relations
Stacey is the very definition of a people person. She builds trust and rapport quickly with clients and reporters, making her a natural for PR. She is meticulously organized, and can spot a good story from a mile off. An 18-year veteran of journalism and PR, she has a knack for anticipating tough questions, securing positive coverage and creating engaging content. Today she builds and supervises successful national, local and trade PR campaigns for clients in the technology, staffing, healthcare and consumer lifestyle spaces. When she’s not at work, you’ll find Stacey training for a half marathon, catching redfish with her husband and two boys, checking travel destinations off her list, or hanging out at the baseball field.
Director of Social Media and Customer Advocacy
Sharp, quick and funny, Kelly was made for social media. She leads strategy, content development, listening and advocacy programs for many of our PR and social media clients. Combining an engaging social voice with an analytical mind, Kelly expertly sifts through the noise to identify trends, flag issues and provide counsel. Years in startup PR taught her to parlay minimal resources into great results, while advising lifestyle companies honed her ability to spot and capitalize on consumer trends. Today, clients love her strategic social approach: listening carefully and building relationships, then leveraging her quick wit to start, join and guide conversations.
Director of Social Analytics
You have to get up pretty early in the morning to get something past Larry. As director of our social analytics practice, Larry draws on his broad experience, multi-lingual proficiency and analytical skills to sift through data and find what matters most to our clients. He and his team measure the impact of campaigns and product launches, identify and alert clients to trending threats and opportunities and continually monitor brand strength against both established and emerging competitors around the globe. Whenever he has a free minute, you’ll find Larry devoting his time to a good cause and spending time with his wife and 2 boys.
Executive PR Consultant
As an executive consultant for Just Drive Media, Sara works with the firm’s clients on PR strategy, storyline development, media training and media relations. With nearly 20 years of communications experience, Sara specializes in message development, PR strategy, writing, crisis communications and financial communications. Her clients include global Fortune 500 brands as well as technology startups. Previously, Sara was senior director of communications at Yahoo Inc. and director of global communications at PayPal. Sara has been named one of the “Business Insider PR 50.”
Executive PR Consultant
Leah is Just Drive Media’s resident tech PR expert. When it comes to earned media, she knows what works and how to make it happen. As an executive PR consultant for JDM, Leah brings an intelligent, thoughtful approach to setting client strategy, managing media relations and producing content. She specializes in developing and executing impactful communications programs for tech companies ranging from established brands like Skype and eBay to start-ups like GetFeedback.com. Previously she headed the Internet and e-commerce practice group at NYC-based Kaplow Communications, and served as a VP at the Bateman Group, a San Francisco and NYC-based firm representing high-growth, disruptive tech companies.
Executive PR Consultant
Liz is a PR and writing pro with 25+ years of experience across a wide range of verticals and a concentration in tech. She has worked with platinum brands including Samsung, AT&T, IBM, HP and Verizon Wireless, and helped to nurture many mainstream and rising brands across consumer and B2B segments. Expanding on her PR experience with global and boutique agencies, Liz recently earned certification from the Global Reporting Initiative in sustainability reporting, adding a timely and relevant knowledge set to a seasoned resume.
PR and Social Media Strategist
Holly is a canny PR and social media practitioner, able to quickly draw a compelling client story from pages of research, columns of data or the headlines of the day. A millennial who has spent her life fully immersed in digital media, Holly provides support and leadership for PR and social media clients ranging from multimillion dollar operations to early stage startups. Her organizational and research skills would be intimidating, were it not for her inexorable Midwestern charm. Always ready with fresh ideas, Holly skillfully executes client events, provides social media analysis, builds media relationships, conducts successful campaigns and still manages to find time to make friends everywhere. Trudi is our resident Copyblogger Certified Content Marketer who specializes in helping our clients tell their unique stories in the digital space, creating rich opportunities for increased engagement with potential and existing customers and boosting their bottom lines. She creates authentic, memorable, shareable and searchable content that clearly expresses the essence of a brand/business, reinforces authority and brings unique selling positions to life. In her spare time, Trudi blogs, vlogs, writes plays and raises a family comprised of two rescue dogs and two children (in that order).
Events and Logistics Manager
If you need something managed, found, or just plain done, ask Sejal. A tireless traffic coordinator by day, Sejal is a research machine as well, with organizational skills to match. We’re considering getting her a cape. As Just Drive Media’s events and logistics manager, Sejal acts as a liaison for a high-profile tech client, ensuring priority projects stay on track. She orchestrates high-profile events from the ground up, acts as a community and social media manager, and pitches in with just about anything anyone else on the team needs help with.
Social Media Specialist
Sonam brings humor and commitment to every project, from social listening and community management to influencer marketing and customer advocacy. She combines a “get things done” attitude with a deep understanding of client needs and a great sense of fun to create fresh ideas and content you can’t help but read. Sonam currently puts her social powers to work for clients like Suitable Technologies and RingCentral/Glip. If you get on a call with her, she’s going to make you laugh. A nomad at heart, Sonam lives in Dallas (for now), by way of San Diego, Central California and, originally, Atlanta.
PR & Social Media Specialist
Rachel just gets it. A quick study and skilled PR and social specialist, Rachel can jump into any business, immediately grasp their context and start spotting trends and great stories. She’s worked in social media and PR for seven years, for clients like Dunkin Donuts, Prestige Cosmetics, and various startups in fitness, entertainment, beauty, and tech. At Just Drive Media her work includes support for LinkedIn Talent Solutions’ PR program and managing social media for Movius, a service provider for the BYOD industry. She gets a huge kick out of watching startups and new social media programs flourish through engagement and fun campaigns, and she loves the success that comes from marrying PR and social media initiatives. That’s a wedding we all like to see.
Social Media Analyst
A social media analyst based in Leamington Ontario, Doug Burness sifts through vast amounts of social media data to find the most relevant nuggets for our clients. He gets to know our clients inside and out – often finding out about customer issues before a client’s customer support team does. Before joining Just Drive Media, Doug owned and managed Pioneer Cable Communications in South-central Florida. He’s also quite familiar with the editorial side of our business, as the former owner of an award-winning teen magazine. He studied computer science at Northwestern University and in his spare time, he enjoys mission work and improving his golf game.
Social Media Analyst
As a social media analyst with Just Drive Media, Katalin Burness uses her foreign language skills to monitor and translate data from French and Portuguese speaking countries. Her specialty is simplifying processes for analyzing and compiling big data into detailed reports for JDM’s clients. Prior to moving into the field of social media, Kat honed her writing, editing and layout skills while publishing a monthly teen magazine that earned the Manatee County (Florida) Partnership in Education Award. She is fluent in Spanish and Hungarian, and her spare time keeps her busy — she likes to renovate and flip homes, and garden. She also keeps her writing skills sharp by dabbling in Southern Gothic.
Social Media Analyst
Social Media Analyst Erin Tambasacan helps the team gather, monitor, and analyze social conversations, and measure overall performance of clients’ campaigns. After graduating from De La Salle University Manila with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Erin worked as an Account Manager for various promotional and digital advertising agencies, wherein she became versed in campaign creation and media planning, online advertising, and graphic / web design. When she’s not watching old movies or playing the guitar, Erin is taking Social Sector Leadership courses on Philanthropy University.
Social Media Analyst
Liubov Nickel is a social media analyst with a global worldview; she attended Saint Petersburg State University with a major in Japanese language and history. She then went on to get an MA in Future Marketing & Communications from the Global Business School in Barcelona. Liubov came to JDM from Veeam Software in St. Petersburg. She’s fluent in English, Russian and Japanese, which all come in handy because she loves to travel and explore new places. She also a huge sports fan – on both the player and spectator sides.
Virtual Office Manager
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Brianna now resides in Nashville, where she serves as virtual executive assistant for JDM, supporting the team’s business operations. She fell in love with the business world at 13, when she got her start at her family’s salon. She soon found a passion for advertising and marketing, which she parlayed into a career with News Corp Australia. As an account executive she looked after a $50 million portfolio for some of the company’s top advertisers. Today Brianna shifted focus to freelancing, dividing her time among clients in the tech and services industries, providing marketing, advertising, social media and executive virtual assistant support. She loves having a hand in day-to-day business administration and management, but isn’t about to let her social media and marketing chops go to waste.
